Course Content

This course deals with (1) set theory, (2) polynomials, systems of equations and inequalities, (3) functions of one variable, (4) limits and continuity, (5) derivatives, (6) graph sketching techniques, (7) anti-derivatives, (8) sequences and series, (9) functions of two variables.

The course "Wiskunde I voor Handelsingenieurs" is a preparation for, among others, the course "Wiskunde II voor Handelsingenieurs".

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Oral Exam determines 50% of the final mark.
Written Exam determines 50% of the final mark.

  • Oral Exam_Theory with a relative weight of 50 which comprises 50% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Written Exam_Exercises with a relative weight of 50 which comprises 50% of the final mark.

During the sessions, "bonus test(s)" are organized with which a maximun of 1 "bonus point" can be obtained.

The mark (/20) for the course is calculated as follows: result for the written exam (/10) + result for the oral exam (/10) + result for the bonustest(s) (/1). The sum of these three results is rounded (in accordance with the education and examination regulations) but with a maximum score of 20/20.
