Course Content
In this training component, both national and international experts from the different sports and disciplines will be invited to give guest lectures and deepen specific topics. The student will be taught by people from the field to integrate and implement the knowledge already gained to his future work situation. The student is taught by specialists in other disciplines, including for example orthopedists, bandagists, exercise physiologists,... in order to gain specific knowledge and learn to work in a multidisciplinary way. The student makes a work (workbook, presentation, literature review, training planning, career planning, ...) in which he explores a topic of his choice and according to his interests based on scientific literature and framed within his future work situation. The approval of the topics is done in consultation with the titulars.

Algemene competenties

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.

The student acquires knowledge and understanding regarding various aspects and innovations within the field of sports physical therapy, sports injuries and performance.

 

APPLICATION AND ATTITUDE

The student is able to translate this knowledge and insight in group into a project relevant within the future work situation and the field of sports physical therapy, sports injuries and performance ability.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Oral Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Oral Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • mondelinge presentatie with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

During the academic year, the student prepares a work in group in which they elaborate on a topic covered by a guest lecturer based on the scientific literature and translate it into clinical application. This elaboration and clinical applications are discussed and assessed at the oral examination.

The method of examination is identical in the first and second sessions.

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
