  • Crime scene investigation and external autopsy  

  • Thanatology 

  • Knowledge on the early signs of death 

  • Knowledge on the later sings of death and the decomposition phenomenon  

  • Knowledge on thanato-chemistry  

  • Isolate samples for toxicology and DNA 

  • Medico-legal medical examination 

  • Investigation of the suspects  

  • ‘Hits and wounds’

  • Internal (medico-legal) autopsy
