Course Content

The following internship periods are covered by the OO "Specialized internships in sports physical therapy".
1.1.In-depth sports physical therapy internship (=60h)
1.2. Research internship (=20h)
The above internship volumes can be completed both nationally and internationally.
The student can find the current procedures regarding "application for internships" and the required internship documents on Canvas.

The PG SK independently acquires in-depth knowledge and understanding of the field of sport physical therapy
- Application & attitude
The PG SK tests his/her acquired knowledge and practical skills within the training and applies them in the working field of the sport physiotherapist.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
SELF Internship determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the SELF Internship category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Stage with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

    Note: Binnen de categorie Stage dient men een stageboek in te dienen met 1 uitgebreide casus uitwerking, evaluatieformulieren voor de klinische stage en het bewijs van aanwezigheid/deelname aan de verschillende stages.

Additional info regarding evaluation

The holder of the OO Specialized internships in Sport Physiotherapy is free to organize internship visits to carry out additional evaluations at the internship site. The supervisor of the OO Specialized internships in Sport Physiotherapy may invite any student to give an oral explanation of the internship book. This is done by appointment. Continuous evaluation based on the final competences of the training based on the evaluation of the internship supervisors (internship site) and based on the internship book with detailed case studies and the possible internship interview.

The method of examination is identical in the first and second session.

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
The supplementary Teaching and Examination Regulations of your faculty stipulate whether an allowed unsatisfactory mark for this programme unit is permitted.
