Course Content

This course focusses on the clinical reasoning in sports injuries. The concept of clinical reasoning is built on clinical decision making processes, which is then applied on sports injuries. Courses will apply this clinical reasoning both in theory and in practice, where diagnostic skill are trained.

The student develops and refines the learnt diagnostic skills through self-study.

The student acquires skills in physical examination, clinical reasoning and the diagnostic process, with the emphasis on sport injuries and orthopedic rehabilitation. The student understands basic concepts of sports rehabilitation with emphasis on musculoskeletal injuries and pathologies. The student is able to give “first aid in sports injuries”

The student is able to perform diagnostic tests related to the clinical reasoning in a case of a sports injury.

 

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Oral Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Oral Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Mondeling examen with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

    Note: Mondeling examen met schriftelijke voorbereiding
