Course Content

Specific application of rehabilitation training (including motor learning, endurance training, strength training, flexibility training,…) in athletes.

Sports specific and evidence based screening of an athlete.

Sports specific physiological and biomechanical analysis of a sport.

The goals of this course are:

The student acquires knowledge on treatment strategies in athletes / sports injuries

The student creates and evaluates a rehabilitation plan, including an analysis of the athlete and the sport

The student applies a rehabilitation plan for an athlete, with evaluation of end result

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Oral Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Oral Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Mondeling with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

The method of examination is identical for the first and second examination period.
