CONTENT: Overview of the most important diseases (viral, bacterial, fungal, protozoal and helminthic) and their symptoms Basic principles of identification and diagnosis Interrelations of infectious agents with the host (distribution and contamination, pathogenesis and resistance).
SELF-STUDY: The students are expected to investigate a specific infectious disease diagnostic, therapeutic or control problem related to the country of origin of the student (and not related to their dissertation).
