To learn and understand the basic properties of a nucleus.
To understand the role of conservation laws in decay processes and reactions.
To learn the principles of nuclear physics related to fission and fusion.
To be able to apply these principles to practical problems concerning use of radionuclides.
To have a basis for more advanced courses on reactor physics and for the succesful presentation of a Master thesis in this subject.
