- Course Content
Based on microeconomic tools, the following subjects are discussed: why do firms exist, profit maximising firms, managerial theories of the firm, interaction between owners and managers. The most important theoretical issues discussed are profit maximisations, cost minimisation, production functions, Hotelling's and Shephard's lemmas, size maximisation, discretionary behaviour, and implications of principal-agent theorising on different functional management fields.
