- Theories on advanced age (biological,cognitive, psychosocial).
- Development (biological, cognitive, psychosocial) in adulthood: healthy and pathological ageing.
Exercises/group assignment:
Exercise: Administering cognitive tests and questionnaires, to get to know the life world of older adults.
Group assignment: Critical review and analysis of related literature on a subject selected from a list of set topics. This assignment is conducted and presented as part of a group.

Students are to be capable of describing developments during the course of life against the background framework of development challenges/development theories.
Students will have acquired an understanding of development (healthy as well as pathological) during late adulthood with respect to biological, cognitive, psychological, social and emotional themes.
The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 70% of the final mark.
PRAC Practical Assignment determines 30% of the final mark.

The transfer of partial marks (min. 10/20) is possible from 1st to 2nd session. The exam cannot be transfered to the next academic year.
