Course Content

Using a case-based approach, an interdisciplinary theoretical analysis is carried out on a concrete practical problem and solutions are proposed. The work contains sufficient theoretical foundations and concrete explanations so that it can be interpreted by a commissioner from an existing professional organisation without much additional explanation.

Course material
Digital course material (Required) : Digital course material (via Canvas) made available by the lecturer and self-composed report (with scientific sources) by the student in relation to the practical problem at hand.
Additional info

The language of instruction is mainly English due to cooperation with international partner institutions. Questions during the semester can be asked and answered in Dutch or English.

Learning Outcomes

General competencies

The student can analyse a complex practical problem, provided by a professional organisation, from an interdisciplinary perspective and design solutions - taking into account all aspects of the problem and its contextual conditions.

The course contributes to the domain specific learning results of the bachelor program in adult educational sciences.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
SELF Practical Assignment determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the SELF Practical Assignment category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Report/Presentation case with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Note: Project report and presentation of analysis and deliverables for an audience of experts (from the field).

Project report and presentation with a weighting factor of 1 and thus 100% of the total grade.

Additional info regarding evaluation
