Partim Molecular Plant Physiology :

Overview of plant hormones

Detailled description of some plant hormones: auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins, abscisic acid. In each case, biosynthesis, catabolism, transport, perception, signal transduction and responses at the cellular and organismal levels are discussed.

Interaction of plants with symbiotic organisms (N-fixing micro-organisms, ecto- and endomycorrhizae)

Partim Molecular Plant Biotechnology:
Plant cell, tissue and organ culture
Advanced genetic engineering
Plant reproductive development and biotechnological applications
Plant vegetative development and biotechnological applications

Learning Outcomes

General Competencies

Partim Molecular Plant Physiology :

A student who completed the course must be able to understand most of plant physiological scientific literature, the objectives of the research, the methodological approach and the scientific relevance of the findings.

Partim Molecular Plant Biotechnology:
The students acquire a thorough knowledge of plant biotechnoloy and genetic engineering and of their applications

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Oral Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Oral Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Mondeling examen with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.
