Dit vak wordt gegeven in samenwerking met Alessio Porcelli (UGent). Het wordt voor 50% gedoceerd in Brussel en voor 50% in Gent. Het hoorcollege wordt in het Engels gedoceerd indien er Erasmus studenten aanwezig zijn. 

Een deel van het hoorcollege wordt in teleclassing gegeven. 
 

Learning Outcomes

Algemene competenties

De student heeft een basiskennis van de astrodeeltjesfysica, een vakgebied dat tussen kosmologie, deeltjesfysica en astronomie in zit. 
In het bijzonder worden de volgende competenties aangebracht:
- inzicht krijgen in de problemen bestudeerd in de astro-deeltjesfysica, en in de plaats die deze discipline inneemt tussen de andere subdisciplines
- resultaten van experimenten interpreteren en communiceren aan collega's
- zelfstandig kunnen werken
- attitude verwerven van levenslang leren

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Oral Exam determines 66% of the final mark.
Practical Exam determines 34% of the final mark.

Within the Oral Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Examen mondeling with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 66% of the final mark.

    Note: Het examen toetst de volgende competenties:
    - inzicht in de materie specifiek voor astro-deeltjesfysica, samenhang met eerder verworven kennis.
    - communicatievaardigheden: mondeling samenvatten en communiceren van experimentele resultaten
    - zelfstandig werken
    - kritische ingesteldheid

Within the Practical Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Mondelinge presentatie with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 34% of the final mark.
