The lectures will contain presentations about the sequence of prevention, assessment and interpretation of scientific literature, different evidence based prevention programmes and applications. Theory will be followed by practical sessions where relevant and possible.

The student acquires knowledge and skills on sports injury prevention as well as the practical aspects of the implementation of prevention programs.
Develop a sports injury prevention plan in a sport and for an injury of choice.

The written exam part 1 is a workbook of a sport specific injury prevention plan based on literature, which the student prepares during the semester in groups. The written exam part 2 is an exam on theory of sports injury prevention and the application of this theory within the workbook.
Final score on 20 will consist for 50% on the written exam part 1(= workbook) and for 50% on the written exam part 2.
In case of an insufficient grade (lower than 8/20), there will not be a weighted mean, but the lowest grade will serve as the final grade. If the student obtains at least 10/20 for one part (HOC or WPO), but fails for the overall score on the course, this score (≥10/20) will automatically be transferred to the 2nd exam period. There is no transfer of partial grades to the next academic year.
