General competencies

Develop a sports injury prevention plan in a sport and for an injury of choice.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Schriftelijk examen with a relative weight of 50 which comprises 50% of the final mark.

Note: schriftelijk examen waar de theorie van sportletselpreventie getoetst wordt en de toepassing hiervan in de taak wordt bevraagd
  • Preventieplan with a relative weight of 50 which comprises 50% of the final mark.

Note: taak waarbij een sportletselpreventieplan wordt uitgewerkt

Additional info regarding evaluation

The written exam part 1 is a workbook of a sport specific injury prevention plan based on literature, which the student prepares during the semester in groups. The written exam part 2 is an exam on theory of sports injury prevention and the application of this theory within the workbook.

Final score on 20 will consist for 50% on the written exam part 1(= workbook) and for 50% on the written exam part 2.

In case of an insufficient grade (lower than 8/20), there will not be a weighted mean, but the lowest grade will serve as the final grade. If the student obtains at least 10/20 for one part (HOC or WPO), but fails for the overall score on the course, this score (≥10/20) will automatically be transferred to the 2nd exam period. There is no transfer of partial grades to the next academic year.
