Learning Outcomes

General competencies

Insight in the use of quantitative techniques for the study of microbial systems and their associated metabolic behaviour, in particular the use of quantitative microbial population and metabolite kinetics, modelling and predictive microbiology.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Other determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Other category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • PERMANENTE EVALUATIE with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

The examination aims at an evaluation of the understanding of the syllabus via both practical computer exercises and theoretical questions (on a permanent basis, 20% of result but no second session possible). At the end of the excercises a final excercise is performed with oral discussion (80% of the result).

Information on the second session:

- 20% of the result will be transferred from the 1st session
- 80% of the results is a final exercise with an oral discussion

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
The supplementary Teaching and Examination Regulations of your faculty stipulate whether an allowed unsatisfactory mark for this programme unit is permitted.
