Learning Outcomes

Algemene competenties

After completing this course the student should be able to:
* thoroughly know the molecular mechanism underlying the basis of the nervous system and a series of its functions
* know neurobiology concepts such a resting potential, action potential, etc.
* link different parts of the course together

.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Oral Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Oral Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Oral exam with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

The examination consists of an oral exal (100% of the grade).
The student receives (by lotery) one question (=  one topic). The student prepares with notes, computer, tablet, etc for 20 min.
Afterwards, the student presents (without notes) for 5-7 minutes followed by a discussion with the examiner.

The student must know these topics: Neurons and Glia, Resting potential, Action Potential, Synaptic transmission and Neurotransmitter systems.

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
The supplementary Teaching and Examination Regulations of your faculty stipulate whether an allowed unsatisfactory mark for this programme unit is permitted.
