Inschrijving voor Soil Mechanics is mogelijk op voorwaarde dat men 1° voor studenten BSc in de ingenieurswetenschappen: geslaagd is voor Mechanica: kracht en beweging en ingeschreven of geslaagd is voor Mechanica van materialen, vloeistoffen en constructies en voor ten minste 2 van de 4 technologieprojecten, waarvan ten minste het technologieproject Bouwkunde OF 2° voor studenten BSc in de ingenieurswetenschappen: architectuur: geslaagd is voor Mechanica 1 & 2 en ingeschreven of geslaagd is voor Mechanica van materialen, vloeistoffen en constructies OF 3° ingeschreven is in de MSc Civil Engineering of in de MSc Architectural Engineering.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Oral Exam determines 50% of the final mark.
Written Exam determines 40% of the final mark.
PRAC Lab Work determines 10% of the final mark.

Within the Oral Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Theory Exam with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 50% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Exercises Exam with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 40% of the final mark.

Within the PRAC Lab Work category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Report on laboratory sessions with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 10% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

The evaluation is based on three parts:

Three reports for the three laboratory sessions (10%)

Written exam on the exercices: Open book (40%)

Oral exam on the theory: Closed book (50%)

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
