IV. the different anatomical tissues
V. the skin
VI.introduction to the systematic study of Osteology
VII. introduction to the systematic study of Myology
VIII. introduction to the systematic study of neurology
IX. the central nervous system and sensory organs
X. the cardiovascular and respiratory sustems
XI. the gastrointestinal and urinary system
XII. the reprocutive system and heredity
Parts VI to XI are combined with demonstrations and practical exercises (plastinates, preparations and models).
This course intends to offer a basic knowledge in anatomy, in order to understand the mechanisms of the human body and to improve the communication between engineering researchers and clinicians.
The student has a basic knowledge in anatomy, in order to understand the functioning of the human body, motion of bones, muscles and joints and the peripheral neural system at the different levels of anatomy from molecular to macroscopic and fucntional.
the student is aware of the complexity of the human body, its interaction and adaptability to environmental circumstances, and to learn to apply the basic anatomical langauage.
The student is able to define clinically relevant resaerch topics with anatomical relevance
the student is able to retrieve relevant anatomical structures and their functions by their latin names and english homologues.
the student is able to summerize the information about a speicif anatomical region and the present that to colleagues.
