Offer 1 with catalog number 1016416BNR for all students in the 2nd semester at a (B) Bachelor - advanced level.
Statistical analysis, also called inferential statistics, is considered a pre-requisite for this course. Basic Mathematics as specified in the final attainment levels for secondary education (3 hours of mathematics) are necessary knowledge for the interpretation of statistical models, and therefore also necessary prior knowledge for this course.
In this course, the following topics will be discussed:
- Repeating bivariate tests
- Exploratory factor analysis (EFA)
- Simple and multiple linear regression
- Binary and multinomial logistic regression
- Statistical literacy
- Exploration of possibilities and datasets on Statbel and Eurostat
These issues will be addressed with practice in mind. Students are expected to be able to do the usual tests with the help of SPSS/PSPP. The student must be able to interpret and report the SPSS results. The course will consist of a mixture of teaching and exercises.

1. The Adult Educational Scientist is able to detect the need for (scientific) information in an international and multicultural social context, to collect, analyse and process it in order to gain more insight into the questions submitted.
2. The Adult Educational Scientist knows the scientific research instruments, is aware of both the possibilities and the limitations of (his own) scientific research, and can actively use research to tackle agogical issues.
3. The Adult Educational Scientist has the most common qualitative and quantitative research methodology and analysis possibilities within the agogic sciences.
4. The Adult Educational Scientist is able to design independent scientific research.
The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.
