* To understand and be able to apply the specific actions on bridges (knowlegde and understanding + applying)
* To know the different types of bridge decks, including their function and their advantages and disadvantages (knowledge and understanding)
* To understand the typology of the different types of bridges (knowledge and understanding)
* To gain insight into bridge accessories (joints and bearings) (knowledge and understanding)
* To know and understand the different erection techniques (knowledge and understanding)
* To be able to apply the basic principles of composite steel-concrete structures (knowledge and understanding)
* To be able to carry out an engineering study of an existing bridge (focussing on specific detail problems and their solutions) (learning skills)
End terms and exam requirements:

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.
Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:
Exercise on composite action: 33% of the points
Examination theory: 67% of the points

Teaching will then be done online, using tele and/or video conferences.
