The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.
Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:
Written closed book exam at the end of the second semester.
The written exam consists of 5 parts ((1) Public Health, (2) Deontology, (3) Organization of health care and financing, (4) Health economics, (5) Sociology of health and Societal challenges. Each part is scored at 20.
If students fail two or more of the five components, or if they achieve a score of 7 or lower on one component despite a possible sufficient average final grade, then they have not passed the course. If a student has passed, the final grade is the arithmetic mean of the scores obtained for the five components. If a student has not passed, the final grade is the lowest score of the five components.
For those who have not passed the course, transfer of points between two exam periods is allowed for those parts for which the student has passed (> = 10/20). (Only) these students receive an e-mail with their partial results. Partial results of >= 10/20 are automatically transferred to the second session. The student who nevertheless wishes to retake one or more exam components, sends an e-mail to the lecturer, at the latest before the start of the second session. Once the student has indicated that he wants to abandon his partial result, he will irrevocably lose this partial result. This transfer of partial results is only permitted between sessions within the same academic year. Transferring points to a following academic year is not permitted, even though there are legitimate reasons for not participating in a session in the current academic year. If a student does not pass the second examination period according to the above criteria, he must therefore retake all parts of the course unit in the following academic year.
