Learning results

The master thesis does not need to contribute something new to science in the strictest sense. In a broad way, the master thesis does need to contribute something, however small, to the research domain of Movement and Sport Sciences. Additionally, the work should prove that the student is able to solve a problem independently and scientifically. Studies of a fundamental, experimental, descriptive/explorative or qualitative nature are allowed.

A Master of Science in Movement and Sport Sciences

  1. has specialist knowledge and insight in the international area of physical education, sport and movement sciences with a view to their implementation in the workfield (scientist)
  2. has an insight into current international scientific issues in the area of physical education and movement sciences (scientist)
  3. has a 'free' inquisitive attitude, evaluates (his/her own) research results and is able to translate these to the various actors (scientist, professional innovator)

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:

Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Master thesis with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

The student will be evaluated based on the written work and the oral presentation and defence of the master thesis. The scoring model can be found in the complementary reglementation master thesis LK.
