Course Content

The course consists of two parts. The first part constitutes an internship in a private company or in a government or research institution, covering a period of about 40 working days.

The second part constitutes the preparation of an extensive written report and the presentation of this report in a seminar. The report should contain the framework and particular aims of the internship, the planning of the internship, the management of all activities deployed before, during and after the internship as well as the results of the performed tasks in the host company or institution.

An important part of the final mark will also be based on the continuous evaluation of the internship process by internship supervisors from both the host institution and from the university (evaluation of domain specific skills and performance and of generic, non-domain specific skills, including independency, creativity, flexibility, punctuality, target setting, output orientation, communication with co-workers and project partners) (40%).
