Course Content

Attenting congresses, workshops. Self study about pain by following lectures or hand outs of national, international congresses or workshops. The number of hours that the student should attend these lectures or workshops equals 40 hours. They will write a reflection after each attendancy.


 


The student delivers a certificate of attendancy for each attended symposium, congress or workshop. There will be two evaluation periods with the tutor where the portfolio will be evaluated. The student will receive a list of congresses, workshops and lectures they can attend. If they would like to participate to a congress, workshop or lecture that is not mentioned on the list, they will first have to get permission from the steering committee.

Learning Outcomes

General comptences

To get insight in the scientific work leading to an imroved knowledge in pain pathophysiology and its treatment.

To get the skills and attitudes in pain treatment in order to become a complete pain physician: knowledge, attitudes, skills in order tot obtain a physician ready to practice.

To obtain an evidence based view on pain and its treatment in the global humabn population and its age groups.
