Course Content

Conform the guidelines of the supervisor, students carry out a literature review in which they show scientific rigour and critical thinking. The research is reported by means of scientific paper.

Algemene competenties

The purpose of this course is to provide students with the competences to:

  1. define research questions and objectives
  2. delineate research topics and develop a focus in their literature review
  3. formulate a relevant research problem
  4. analyse and synthesize scientific literature in a critical and concise manner
  5. discuss this literature in a critical and constructive manner in a paper
  6. employ a scientific writing style

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 70% of the final mark.
Other Exam determines 30% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Research Paper with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 70% of the final mark.

Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Intermediat Assignments with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 30% of the final mark.
