Learning Outcomes

General competences

The aim of this course is to make students acquainted with the legal system, policies and special measures applied in China’s foreign trade.

More specific, the learning objectives are:

  • Become aware of the institutional and legal framework of Chinese foreign trade.
  • Become aware of China’s legal regime related to imports & exports, intellectual property, service and trade remedy.
  • Gain insight in China’s engagement in development of international trade rules, especially concerning WTO and RFTA


The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Written Exam with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.
