  • Accreditation, commencement and termination of the diplomatic functions
  • Relations with the host state
  • Premises of the diplomatic missions
  • Inviolability & Immunities
  • Customs & Tax
  • Diplomatic missions
  • Legal, practical and political relevance of the diplomatic mission

Learning objectives

The course provides an introduction to diplomatic law, and at the end of the course students will:

  • Have a critical understanding and awareness of the legal framework and the political and practical importance of diplomatic law;
  • Be able to make assessments and conduct research in the subject matter;
  • Be able to identify academic and practical issues and developments within diplomatic law

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Written Exam with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.
