Course Content

This course allows students to participate in international urban design workshops, master classes or summer schools at foreign and domestic universities or organized by public authorities or other institutions and organizations. These activities are proposed by the course titulars and are related to the relevant objectives of the program in urban design and spatial planning.

Additional info

The course titulars invite students to propose their candidacy. They can ask students to motivate their candidacy via a portfolio and/or motivation letter or email. Based on this motivation students are selected. The chairman of the program council approves the selection. Students are allowed to select this course if their candidacy has been accepted by the course titulars and the chairman of the program council.

Learning Outcomes

Goals

Acquire spatial design competences and knowledge on urban projects and planning approaches in an international and/or policy oriented environment.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Other Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Other exam with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

If the organizing institution gives a grade, this grade is transferred taking into account the rules of international equivalence of grading systems. In principle one of the course titulars should be represented in the final and/or intermediary jury of the workshop. If no grade is given, or no course titular can assist in the jury, the course titulars can ask the students to give a presentation of their work conducted during the workshop. In this case the grade given for the presentation comprises 100% of the final mark.

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
The supplementary Teaching and Examination Regulations of your faculty stipulate whether an allowed unsatisfactory mark for this programme unit is permitted.
