Course Content

European cities concentrate 60% of the population of Europe and are currently growing at a rate of over 5% every ten years. Achieving better mobility is one of the greatest challenges of the contemporary society and a necessity for a competitive Europe and for the quality of life of European citizens.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

- To analyse the interaction between infrastructure and mobility

- To analyse the mobility in a sustainable approach

- To assess the different transport modes and technologies (including emerging SMART technologies)

- To assess the mobility conditions in modern cities

- To design sustainable solutions to improve the mobility in terms of spatial planning and infrastructure considering density and social aspects.
