- Course Content
The students will be able to understand and be able to apply the technology, the functioning and operation of different techniques in modern radiotherapy, with extra attention towards appropriate quality assurance and safety procedures and risk assessment.
The following techniques will be covered in detail:
Image-guided radiotherapy (volmetric imaging, motion management and margins)
3D-conformal radiotherapy and (rational) intensity-modulated radiotherapy
Stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiotherapy
Total body irradiation and total electron skin bath
Brachytherapy
Particle therapy
Quality assurance and quality control in radiotherapy, safety procedures and risk assessment
