Offer 1 with catalog number 1021010AER for all students in the 2nd semester at a (A) Bachelor - preliminary level.
This part (2) of the course Proficiency intermediate French builds on the skills and knowledge trained in part One(1) . Particular emphasis is placed on training oral communication and written expression. The topics of the lessons are related to modern French language. Thereby explicit attention is paid to topical French issues and French culture:
- Revision of the basic grammar
- Revision of punctuation marks ; training of the written skills and spelling;
- oral exercises aiming at improving oral communication skills and pronunciation.
Study of grammatical and lexical problems that present specific challenges to Dutch speakers (Fautes de français, Hatier– Difficultés …, Hanse).
Grammar exercises, listening exercises, speaking assignments, editing of written assignments at home or in the classroom.
Average of 1 hour of theory and 1 hour of exercises weekly.

The student has acquired a working knowledge of general vocabulary and can express himself fluently and accurately in French.
The final objective is to reach level B2 CEFR (Common European Framework), which means that the student can communicate in grammatically correct French: he can fluently and spontaneously take part in conversations in French and can express his view on complex topics.
The student can write clear and well-structured texts on various topics at level B2 CEFR.

The student has acquired an in-depth active knowledge of normative grammar and general vocabulary in the political and social fields and has the ability to speak French fluently and correctly.
The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
