Learning Outcomes

Doelstellingen

  • Developing critical thinking.
  • Students understand the basics of how news and news reports come into being.

Students have the skills to (1) make a news analysis, with attention to the intrests of different actors; (2) write a short journalistic article, in this case a news report; and (3) prepare, conduct and write out a simple journalistic interview. 
 

Eindcompetenties

Can provide ideas and angles for journalistic pieces, can think and act critical and professional.
Write a short journalistic text, in this case a news report. Can conduct a responsible journalistic interview and record it in writing in a journalistic responsible way.

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Other Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Other exam with a relative weight of 50 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

For evaluation of the first examination period, students complete three assignments. A news analysis(presentation) and a written news report and interview.

Evaluation of the second examination period is based on a paper.
