Of de student is ingeschreven in de bachelor criminologische wetenschappen met studieduurverkorting. Of de student is ingeschreven in het schakelprogramma Criminologische Wetenschappen. Hiernaast is de student ingeschreven op de studiedelen “Criminologie en victimologie” en “Criminologie en victimologie: werkcollege”. Of de student is ingeschreven in het voorbereidingsprogramma Criminologische Wetenschappen. Hiernaast is de student ingeschreven op de studiedelen “Criminologie en victimologie”. Course Content

Sociological - criminological  study of crime and crime control in late modern context.

Focus on topics such as migration, urbanization, race and ethnicity, radicalisation and social inequality in the study of crime and penality.

Aim of the course :

  • Knowledge and insight into the sociological way of thinking on crime and crime control.
  • Knowledge and insight into the main social and cultural developments in late modern society and being able to relate evolutions in crime and crime control to these sociale evolutions. 
  • Being able to analyse questions on crime and crime control  from a sociological - criminological point of view.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Written Exam with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.
