Volgtijdelijkheid: De student is ingeschreven in de Bachelor Criminologische Wetenschappen en heeft reeds credits behaald voor alle studiedelen uit de modules I tot en met VII. Hiernaast is de student ingeschreven op alle studiedelen uit de modules VIII tot en met X, en op het studiedeel "Methoden van criminologisch onderzoek II". Of de student is ingeschreven in de bachelor criminologische wetenschappen met studieduurverkorting.

Course Content

There are different possibilities.

In case of INTERNSHIP: the bachelor thesis is linked to the research that takes place during the internship. 

If students do NO INTERNSHIP, an extended literature review is conducted, based on international literature and evaluating the content and methodology of the researches that are discussed in the literature.

In both cases the student will be supervised by an individual supervisor.

An individual supervisor is assisgned to each student.

The text of the bacherlorthesis is submitted at the learning platform CANVAS to the supervisor at the university. It is also posted at the learning platform CANVAS.

Dead line: 31 May the latest or 16 August in case of the second exam session.

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
SELF Paper determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the SELF Paper category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • SELF Paper with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

The bachelor thesis is an academic text and is evaluated as such.

Important aspects are the quality of the research questions, research design, data collection and data analysis and the quality of the conclusions.
