Je hebt ‘Taal- en vertaalpraktijk Spaans-Nederlands  II’ gevolgd, alvorens dit vak op te nemen.​ Dit vak opnemen houdt verder in dat je gelijktijdig ‘Lengua española: lengua y cultura’ volgt of reeds geslaagd bent voor 'Lengua española: lengua y cultura’.​ Zit je in een verkort traject dan kan je dit vak gewoon opnemen.

Course Content
  • Students develop basic interpreting techniques as well as their oral proficiency.
  • Students  gain an understanding of interpreting as a skill and as a professional activity.
Additional info

Students perform listening and oral exercises (e.g. paraphrasing, sight translation, text analysis, oral summary and consecutive interpreting, public speaking) and gradually develop their interpreting skills and oral proficiency.  They get acquainted with note-taking techniques for consecutive interpreting and with the professional contexts of interpreting.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Oral Exam determines 70% of the final mark.
Other Exam determines 30% of the final mark.

Within the Oral Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Mondeling examen with a relative weight of 70 which comprises 70% of the final mark.

Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Permanente evaluatie with a relative weight of 30 which comprises 30% of the final mark.

The evaluation comprises an Oral exam (70%) as well as Continuous assessment assignments (30%).
