Course Content

Practical application of the skills acquired in Communication part 1: 

  • Learn to communicate in a multidisciplinary environment 

  • Empathic attitude towards patients and their family 

  • Necessary communication to gather relevant information and assess the situation, taking into account the patient’s course of life, cultural background, religion and major life events 

  • Open attitude towards health care providers team members and colleagues 

  • Informed consent towards the patient and their family regarding the treatment, check to what extent the provided information is understood 

  • Implementation of possibilities to communicate with an unwilling patient; rights of an unwilling patient’s family 

  • Specific aspects of communication on therapy-limiting measures and death 

  • Communication and knowledge on specific aspects of patient rights and legislation concerning unwilling patients 

The ASO is to operate with increasing autonomy and complexity.

  • Portfolio with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

    Fuctioneringsgesprek met stagemeester voor het behalen van het Opleidingsonderdeel (100%)
