Course Content

Case discussions: during these sessions, the practical cases are presented and discussed in team (multidisciplinary). Attention is paid to diagnostic and clinical aspects. The topics that are covered are also dealt with during internships and relate to the final objectives as defined under “physician” level 2 for the training in truncus communis (see course Problem-solving capability in Clinical Biology).

The Laboratory Informatics System (LIS) and Clinical Working Station (‘KWS’) are used (including Electronic Medical File (‘EMD’) and Electronic Nursing File (‘EVD’)). The ASO is to operate these instruments perfectly.

The ASO is actively involved in managing the department and the hospital.
