Course Content
  • Communication in a multidisciplinary environment on diagnostics, therapy, prognosis and evolution with other specialisms and health care providers (nurses, psychologists, dietitians, physiotherapists…)  

  • Communication with patients and their family regarding the disease, prognosis and therapy, taking into account the patient’s course of life and cultural background 

  • Informed consent concerning the treatment, check to what extent the provided information is understood 

  • Communication on death, euthanasia  

  • Communication and knowledge on specific aspects of patient rights and legislation concerning unwilling patients

  • Supervised room tour hospitalization department medical oncology (daily) 

  • Supervised consultation medical oncology (daily) 

  • Bedside teaching (daily) 

  • Case discussion within the department of medical oncology (1x/week)
