Course Content
  • Autonomously handle, diagnose and treat the most common diseases/syndromes and/or situations in the clinical practice.  

  • Acquire advanced knowledge in performing and assessing neurophysiological investigations: EEG, EMG, evoked potentials, central motoric conduction, doppler investigation neck- and cranial blood vessels.  

  • Use of botulinum toxin in the neurological practice 

  • Autonomously operate in the stroke unit 

  • Palliative policy and terminal care 

  • Autonomously consult at the various departments 

  • Guide the students of physician-specialist level 1 

  • Targeted participation in scientific research as part of the Master’s thesis 

  • Knowledge and insights in the evaluation of own performance as a neurologist in training 

  • Improve the performance and efficiency of own handling (as a specialist in training) within the department 

  • Focus on domains of attention within the department

WORKING METHODS 

  • Theme-bound cursory education (1x/2 months): study material concerning the abovementioned syndromes, followed by interactive discussions that are reviewed by the supervisor or responsible staff member 

  • Interactive neuroradiology-neurology-neurosurgery discussions (1x/week) 

  • Seminars (1x/week) 

  • Daily patient discussions 

  • Neurophysiological courses (1x/week) 

  • Neuropathological confrontations (1x/week)
