Course Content

The ASO hones the problem-solving capability during the various seminars and day-to-day work, comparable to ‘Problem-solving capability in Otorhinolaryngology, part 1’, but including more complicated cases.

WORKING METHODS 

  • Daily practice in the operating theatre, consultation for children and adults, room physician, bedside teaching  

  • Interactive seminars: during weekly postgraduate/department meeting: 1h/week (each time also 1h for guidance of Master’s students): case discussions, KKB 

  • MOC: 1x/week, 2h of multidisciplinary oncological consult (for room physician and/or student following Head- and Neck Surgery) 

  • Referring evening: 2x/year, 3h 

  • Weekly room tour under supervision: 2h/week (Monday morning, Friday morning, Tuesday afternoon) 

  • Daily debriefing: 0.5h/day
