Study and interpretation of clinical scientific research concerning diagnostic means and syndromes that are dealt with during internships and relate to the final objectives as defined under “physician” level expert plus.
The ASO is to operate with increasing autonomy and complexity, in a scientifically founded manner.
WORKING METHODS
Research seminars in the department of the internship: approximately 6x/year
Symposia (annual meetings of the Belgian Association for Pathology)
The ASO can participate in international symposia, in accordance with the internship coordinator.

Portfolio with performance interviews and assessment interview at th end, level expert plus (100%).
PASS/FAIL
Elucidation: portfolio with assessment interview and reflection report of attended meetings and courses; national and international symposia and congresses in accordance with internship coordinator.
