Working on one's medical knowledge, while particularly paying attention to hospital medicine.
One needs to attend 6 hours of COMPULSORY sessions. These 6 hours of sessions will cover the following topics:

• Infosessie Medbook
• Werkplekleren
• Train the Trainer
In addition, one has to attend 34 hours of sessions, which one needs to choose out of a list of options. This optional package can still change during the academic year. The range of sessions during the current academic year will be made available via the online learning platform Canvas.

For certain topics it is possible to watch a video recording of the session. You will then be able to answer questions regarding the content of that session. This provides an opportunity to acquire an 'attendance' for the online viewed session. These recordings will be made available via the online learning platform Canvas.
Working methods
The sessions are being organised in the form of lectures (some on campus and some online), the ASO needs to attend 34 hours of sessions from the selection list and 6 hours of compulsory sessions. The following topics are covered in the compulsory sessions:

One must complete the total number of 40 hours of sessions within the "Expert" level. Depending on the specialism, one has 2 to 3 years to complete the course Capita Selecta.
OLR 1: Has acquired profound medical knowledge and obtained insight into the specialism (M, W)
OLR 16: Knows the principles of medical informatics to provide optimal patient care and for maintaining their own expertise (M)
OLR 3: Has further developed the problem-solving capacity and applies this in the practice (M, W)

OLR 15: Takes the economic aspects of medicine into account and handles efficiently with resources as such to avoid under- and over-use (M)
OLR 2: Has acquired the skills specific to their own specialism and applies them correctly (M)
OLR 17: Remains to continuously develop and improve their own skills (M)
OLR 4: Can communicate correctly and in a humane empathic manner with the patient and his or her environment, with an eye for ethical, social and multicultural aspects (diversity) and within the relevant legal regulation (C)
OLR 19: Meets the general and specific final objectives, specific to the specialism, concerning diagnostics and diseases/disorders (M, W)
