The ASO is provided with the chance to practice a wide variety of domains within the specialism. During these internships, the ASO acquires specific knowledge and skills with increasing complexity and applies these in practice with increasing independence.

airway management and respiratory care: difficult trachea-intubation, alternative difficult airway care, tracheotomy, intubation of the child, cervix intubation, difficult respiration (ARDS, asthma…).

polytrauma care: following the polytrauma protocol

circulatory care: pericardiocentesis, intra-osseous line
