WORKING METHODS
Interactive seminars and journal clubs: (at least 1x/week, 1h) organized at the internship department of Geriatrics
LOK: 4x/year half a day of local quality groups in Geriatrics (LOK is a group of colleague physicians who share and critically evaluate their medical practicing to improve the quality of care)
Belgian Interuniversity Course in Geriatric Medicine (BIUCGM): 4x/year 1 full day organized by the Belgian Association for Geriatrics and Gerontology (BVGG)
Two two-day congresses per year, organized by the BVGG (‘Journées d’automne’ and Winter-meeting)
An international congress per year (financed by WOK and GIFT accounts UZ Brussels)
OLR 1: Has acquired profound medical knowledge and insights in the specialism.
OLR 2: Has acquired the skills, inherent to the specialism, and applies these correctly.
OLR 19: Satisfies the general and specific final objectives, inherent to the specialism, concerning diagnostics and syndromes/diseases.
OLR 17: Keeps further developing and improving own skills.
The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Other Exam determines 100% of the final mark.
Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:
Portfolio with performance interviews and assessment interview at the end, level expert plus (100%).
