The ASO is more extensively instructed in a broad array of domains within the specialism, necessary for the applications in the practice that are dealt with in internships. These relate to the final objectives as defined under “physician” level expert.
The ASO is to operate with increasing independence and complexity, in a scientifically founded way.
WORKING METHODS
Interuniversity post-graduate in education.
Various multidisciplinary meetings (MOC, gastro-enterology, pneumology-radiology, neurology-radiology).
Daily case discussions with supervisor (1-on-1).
OLR 1: Has acquired profound medical knowledge and insights in the specialism.
OLR 2: Has acquired the skills, inherent to the specialism, and applies these correctly.
OLR 19: Satisfies the general and specific final objectives, inherent to the specialism, concerning diagnostics and syndromes/diseases.
OLR 17: Keeps further developing and improving own skills.
The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Other Exam determines 100% of the final mark.
Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:
Continuous evaluation with a relative weight of 1 and hence 50% of the final grade.
Portfolio with performance interviews with a relative weight of 1 and hence 50% of the final grade.
