Theme 1:
Ethical and legal problems regarding the status of human body material, e.g. organs, cells, tissues and gametes (including the issue of the commercialisation of human body material, inter alia via patenting)

Theme 2:
Research ethics (focus on conflicts of interest and their potential to bias research)

Algemene competenties

- In-depth application of methods of argumentation from normative ethics to bioethical problems which are relevant to the curriculum of biomedical sciences -- building on the knowledge acquired in the course Bioethics I

- Formulating critical comments using the abovementioned arguments and approaches

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 60% of the final mark.
PRAC Teamwork determines 40% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • schriftelijk examen with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 60% of the final mark.

    Note: Twee open vragen over hoger beschreven thema's ( 12 punten)

Within the PRAC Teamwork category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • verslag en presentatie with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 40% of the final mark.

    Note: Schriftelijk verslag en mondelinge voorstelling in de les aangaande het werkbezoek aangaande de leerstof (8 punten)
