Studenten die dit opleidingsonderdeel opnemen, moeten geslaagd zijn voor 'Module onderzoek en behandeling IIIA' en 'Module onderzoek en behandeling IIIB' EN 'Trainginsleer en begrippen van de revalidatietraining" EN voor minstens 140 ECTS-credits op bachelorniveau. OF ingeschreven of geslaagd zijn voor het Voorbereidingsprogramma in de Revalidatiewetenschappen en Kinesitherapie of het voorbereidingsprogramma in de Manuele Therapie.

Course Content

The course covers:

- a detailed study of the anatomy of the lower quadrant

    Teaching methods:

    • This course includes also invited lectures which may be given in another language
    • This course will use blended learning techniques, in which the student has to demonstrate an interactive  attitude and  may need to be prepared by self-study before the lectures
    • In view of this blended learning approach different teaching modalities will be used: preregistered course, tutorials, knowledge clips, discussion for a, group work (peer assessment and Think-Pair-Chair-principles) and interactive lectures

    Learning Outcomes

    general competences

    - the master student has a profound knowledge and comprehension of the clincial relevance of the anatomy of the lower quadrant

    - the student has a profound 3_dimensional knowledge of the juman musculoskeletal anatomy (myology, perepheral neurology, vascularisation) and is aware of and knows anatomical variation, variants and anomalies with specific relevance for the manual rehabiliation techniques

    - the students ia able to critically reflect on the impact of specific musculoskeltal and manual technqiues based on a profound knowledge of the human musculoskeltal anatomy

    Grading

    The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
    Written Exam determines 75% of the final mark.
    LEC Teamwork determines 25% of the final mark.

    Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

    • oral exam with a relative weight of 65 which comprises 75% of the final mark. This is a mid-term test.

    Within the LEC Teamwork category, the following assignments need to be completed:

    • group work with a relative weight of 35 which comprises 25% of the final mark. This is a mid-term test.

    The exam will consist of an written exam 

    additionally the interactive work  will be evaluated and scored as part of the final score

    The subscore(s) of group or individual tasks and exercises organised during the academic year, which for content or organisational reasons cannot be reorganized, will continue to be part of the overall final score for this course.
