Om de bachelorpaper te kunnen registreren moet je geslaagd zijn voor het Werkcollege Kunstwetenschappen en voor het Werkcollege Archeologie. Je moet ook minstens 60 stp. behaald hebben in de bachelor. Je neemt steeds de bachelorpaper en het Atelier Kunstwetenschappen en Archeologie samen op.

The students can develop their own research project, based on original sources, from research questions to interpretation.
The students formulate research questions aimed at an original research project.
The students can apply Heuristic methods to find the necessary sources for their research project.

  1. Holders of a Bachelor s degree in the Arts and Archaeology have an exhaustive reference framework covering major trends, turning points and key evidence from European art history and archaeology from the prehistoric era to today.
  2. Holders of a Bachelor s degree have an understanding of the iconographic, stylistic and technical aspects of artistic and material culture.
  3. Holders of a Bachelor s degree in the Arts and Archaeology combine that knowledge with an understanding of a broad cultural and social context and have an insight into how artistic production and material culture can serve as vectors for changing cultural, social, economic and ideological values.
  4. Holders of a Bachelor s degree in the Arts and Archaeology have a general knowledge and understanding of the historical and current relationships between heritage, institutions and society.
  5. Holders of a Bachelor s degree in the Arts and Archaeology have a knowledge of essential heuristic and analytical research techniques, including methods on the ground, scientific techniques and discourse analysis.

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
SELF Paper determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the SELF Paper category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Bachelorpaper with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.
