The course starts from the knowledge acquired in the course on Biostatistics in the 2nd year of the Bachelor's degree programme in the Pharmaceutical Sciences. It contains, for instance, the description of univariate and multivariate data handling methods, analysis of variance (ANOVA), regression analysis, description of different types of data sets, principal component analysis (PCA), cluster analysis, optimisation techniques among which the use of experimental design

The course material consists of copies of the course slides (powerpoint presentation) and for certain parts of course notes. All are made available on the learning platform.
Knowing the principles of frequently used techniques for method optimisation and data analysis. Apply these for simple case studies.
Understand the data analyses applied and described in scientific publications
To have an overview concerning possible analysis possibilities for a given data set, both uni- and multivariate ones.

Written open-book exam. Notice: e-books and other electronic devices are not allowed.
Attendance to the exercise sessions is obligatory. Absence will lead to the prohibition to participate to the exam.
