Course Content

In the course "Integrated pharmacology & pharmacotherapy" the student learns to integrate previously acquired knowledge from different courses within real-life cases. The course is offered through blended learning and is built up cyclically:
1. Each student receives basic material that must be repeated or discussed through self-study
2. Each student is evaluated just before the start of the WPO session on the subject of the WPO session
3. During the WPO session, students work in small groups on cases concerning the subject of the WPO session
4. After completing the WPO session, the theme of the next WPO session will be announced and the cycle starts again.
The course contains six cycles.

Learning Outcomes

General Competencies

This course aims to give the students the necessary skills in the integrated approach of practical cases. The student learns how to approach, analyze pharmacotherapeutic case studies, identify any drug-related problems, how to solve them and how to communicate the points of attention and / or solutions to the patient and other caregivers.

 

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Schriftelijk examen with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.
